  1. The competition is open for students from participated universities in Malaysia. To participate, register you name and type of art via Google Form.

  2. All works must be original. Compositions based on published material or other artist's work are NOT considered original and are not eligible.
  3. The decisions of the judges will be final. Submission vary for different categories.

    a) Photography and Video : Submitted as digital files to
    Image requirements : JPG files (Please try to keep the file size under 5 MB to ensure proper uploading).

    b) Art (Watercolour, Painting, Doodle) : Submitted in hardcopy to Realme Malaysia

1. Photography

The photos, digital or multimedia will be judged in terms of creativity, originality, message content and technical organization (sound and picture quality).

Impact - what you feel when you first view the Entry. Does the photo evoke an emotion from the viewer?

Creativity - how the Entrant was able to convey their idea, message or thought in an original and imaginative way through their lens.

Style - how the Entrant is able to showcase their personal originality and technique to influence how the image is presented and interpreted.

Subject Matter - was the subject matter displayed in the photo appropriate to the story being told in the Photo Entry submitted and does it fully represent the Sponsor’s promotional theme?

Story Telling - how the Entrant is able to let their Photo Entry evoke the viewer's imagination, which may differ by each viewer. Is the story being told the right story for the Sponsor and their brand?

2. Video


Entries must be the students' own work, in the student's own words, and may include personal experiences and thoughtful observations. Videos must reflect that the student has carefully examined and thought through the topic.

Message Content:

  • Does the student apply/address the theme of brief?
  • Is the video relevant?
  • How compelling is the video?

Technical Organization:

How well is the video produced in regards to continuity, timing, camera operation, sound quality, editing and adherence to time limit of 1 minute 30 seconds.

People's Choice - Most Likes

The 10 finalists' videos will be posted on Realme's Facebook Page. The videos will be ranked based on the number of 'Likes'

3. Art (Watercolour, Painting, Doodle)

Based on the artwork submitted to our competitions, they will be judged based on the following elements of artistic expression:

  1. Interpretation and the clarity of the theme to the viewer.
  2. Creativity and originality of the depicted theme.
  3. Quality of artistic composition and overall design based on the theme.
  4. Overall impression of the art. (What is the effect of the artwork in general and as a whole? Overall, does the artwork stand on its own as a complete and outstanding work of art?


  1. Deadline for submission on 18th April 2019 before 11.59pm.
  2. Winners will be notified on 24th April 2019 and notified by e-mail and phone, as well as published on Realme's Official Facebook page.
  3. Certificate will be provided to each participant of Young Talent Contest
  4. Realme Malaysia reserves the right to reject work deemed unsuitable or does not meet above criteria.
